Winning Design Announced
Thank you to everyone who submitted a logo design for the Family Legacy Qatar project. We were amazed by the thought, symbolism and creativity in every entry. After careful review by our panel, we’re proud to announce the winner and two runner-ups whose work stood out for how beautifully it captured the spirit of intergenerational memory and cultural storytelling.
This design was selected for its thoughtful use of Arabic calligraphy and the Qatari flag to represent the project's title and link to heritage, identity and tradition.
First Runner-Up: Ali Mohammad Al-Tarawnah
To everyone who submitted: thank you. Every design helped us see the project through new eyes. We’ll be showcasing more submissions in our stories over the coming weeks to honor your creativity.

Second Runner-Up: Aza Ibrahim Mohammed
Our new logo will appear across our social media, website and official project documents.
First Place: Shawqi Abdalrahman
In the designer’s words, the logo represents the modern Qatari man holding onto his traditional dress, alongside a dhow for maritime heritage, a palm tree for growth and enduring stories, and a book for history and memory. At the base, it reads: "Our stories are our legacy, and our present is a tribute to our past.
This design included a grandfather with two children, capturing a quiet moment of storytelling between generations. It reflects the heart of the project, where memory is passed through words, connection and shared heritage.
