Nadia Al Khater

Nadia Al-Khater is a Qatari filmmaker whose work blends innovative storytelling with a distinctly Arab perspective. She has written and directed a range of projects, from short films to commercial work, including the National Museum of Qatar’s branding film. Her short film A Proposal premiered at the Malmö Arab Film Festival, earned her the Best Director award at Ajyal Film Festival, and was named “Best of” at the Marrakech International Film Festival. It also screened in competition at the Amman International Film Festival and the Arkansas International Film Festival. Nadia’s latest short, Light to Ashes, follows the early life of an ancient Arabic poet.
